As an Early Recovery Specialist, you handle a caseload of newly admitted patients and conducts counseling services. In your role, you will collaborate with patients to ensure their basic needs are adequately addressed and facilitate the coordination of care within the community. Additionally, you will conduct intakes and necessary assessments within the specified timelines as mandated by federal and state regulations, CARF guidelines, and Pinnacle policies and procedures.
Pay Range:
$21 to $24
$24 to $27 (Certified)
$27 to $30 (Licensed)

Requirements:
Possess an associate degree in a relevant field or a majority of approved counselor certification courses, license, or certification necessary to provide counseling services to our patient population. Kern County requires bachelor’s degree or 75% of required counselor certification courses).
Must have 2-5 years of experience.
Maintain compliance with the requirements for continuing education hours and/or units (CEH or CEU) as determined by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and/or other regulatory agencies.
Possess knowledge, skills, and abilities as it relates to:
The evaluation of patients, treatment planning, and counseling services.
The use, abuse and treatment of illicit drugs and addiction.
Organization and time management.
Communication skills both written and verbal.
Professional demeanor and customer service practices.
Competence with Microsoft computer programs.
Complete initial training as a counselor trainee
Possess counselor registration/certification by a “Certifying Organization: recognized by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. Proof of registration is required immediately once employed with a California Alcohol any counseling services per the DHCS (Department of Health Care Services).
