Job Description

SUMMARY:

Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a MAT case manager, or Associates of Science in Nursing (AND) 5 years MAT case management. Must have a current California RN License and be ANCC certified addiction nurse preferred.  Experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native populations preferred. Experience working with SAMHSA on grant projects preferred. Must have or willing to obtain current CPR Certification which meets the guidelines of the American Heart Association or Red Cross prior to orientation. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with a safe driving record, DMV record required. The BHS RN Case Manager provides outreach and case finding, case management, assessment and planning, and case coordination between client, family and community resources. Provides monitoring and advocacy for individuals who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness. Works to develop and facilitate rehabilitation activities that include skills development, and recreational opportunities. Applicant needs to be flexible to work a variable schedule. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.

Qualifications

Education and License:    

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school preferred; or Associates of Science in Nursing             

Licensed Registered Nurse or ANCC certified addiction nurse preferred.

Current active California license as Registered Nurse.

Current CPR certification.

                                                                            

Experience:               

  • Experience coordinating and managing MAT services preferred.
  • Experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native populations preferred.
  • Experience working with SAMHSA on grant projects preferred

                                     

Ability to:                  

Maintain strict confidentiality procedures.  Independently plan and schedule program activities.

Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
