Job Description

The Support Counselor is a member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive services in the community at times and locations convenient to the family. The Support Counselor will provide services throughout Solano County involved with probation services and will be co-located at the Seneca offices in Fairfield and the Probation Offices.

 

ABOUT JUVENILE PROBATION WRAPAROUND

The Solano Wraparound program serves Solano County children and adolescents who are involved with Juvenile Probation and who are transitioning from or are at risk of going to out-of-home care or juvenile hall. The program’s objective is to keep those youth living with a family or in a family like setting in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling and case management services for enrolled youth and their families
  • Provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed at client homes, schools, and other community locations
  • Participate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessary
  • Complete mental health notes and other paperwork, and complete service tracking documentation as indicated
  • Assist with planning arrangements and transportation for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings as needed
  • Attend team meetings, weekly trainings, individual and group supervisions, and adhere to clinical best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling/Psychology/Social Work
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed
  • Be part of a rotating emergency pager system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of time
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver\’s license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption

Schedule

  • Mon-Fri; 8:30am-5:30pm

Benefits

  • Starting at $22.66 – $25.16 per hour, commensurate with experience
    • As of July 7th, this starting range will increase to $23.34 – $25.84 per hour
